Objective To observe the characteristics and explore the difference of heart rate variability(HRV between atrial parasystolic rhythm(APR) and atrial premature beat(APB) in pregnancy. Methods The data of 74 cases of pregnant women with atrial arrhythmia and 33 cases of normal pregnant were analyzed retrospectively. With a combination of Lorenz-RR and time-RR-interval scatter plot and the reversal technique

the diagnosis was maded and?the origin of premature beat were analyzed. Dates were divided into three groups: APR group

APB group and normal control group. The events such as premature atrial transmission

atrial tachycardia

atrial premature and proportion of intraventricular aberrant conduction were counted. Moreover

number of heart beats

arrhythmia index and HRV were analyzed

the difference of sympathetic activity and vagal activity between each groups was estimated.Results There has 39 cases(52.7%) in APR group and 35 cases(42.3%) in APB group

the proportion of premature atrial transmission in each groups was 30.8% and 17.1%

respectively. No significant differences was found in the tatol number of heart beats between this two groups; but the atrial premature contraction number and arrhythmia index in APR group were both higher than that in APB group(p<0.05). The part of HRV index(SDANN

LF and HF) in APR group were decreased than APB group(p<0.05). Conclusions In pregnancy with atrial parasystolic rhythm

part of the HRV are decreased. The APR and APB has similar composition ratio. The chances of premature atrial transmission in APR group are much higher than that of APB group.
