The relationship between atrial fibrillation and blood pressure variability in patients with essential hypertension
Objective To explore the relationship between blood pressure variability and atrial fibrillation in patients with essential hypertension. Methods One hundred and forty-five patients with essential hypertension admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to May 2020 were divided into AF group(n=54) and AF-free group(n=91). The patients accepted ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and echocardiology examination
and their clinical baseline data
echocardiographic parameters and ambulatory blood pressure were recorded. Logistic regression curve analysis was used to explore the correlation between blood pressure variability and atrial fibrillation. Results It was shown that 24 h weighted standard deviation of systolic blood pressure(Wsd-24 h-SBP) and 24 h weighted standard deviation of diastolic blood pressure(Wsd-24 h-DBP) in the AF group were higher than those in the AF-free group(all p<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that age
uric acid
left atrial diameter index(LADi)
left ventricular mass index(LVMi)
Wsd-24 h-SBP
Wsd-24 h-DB were independent risk factors for atrial fibrillation. Conclusions 24 h weighted standard deviation of systolic blood pressure and 24 h weighted standard deviation of diastolic blood pressure are independent risk factors for atrial fibrillation.
