The value of coronary artery calcification score in predicting major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease
Objective To study the value of coronary artery calcification score in predicting major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods A total of 132 patients with coronary heart disease admitted to the Department of Cardiology
Fengqiu County People’s Hospital from January 2018 to January2020 were selected for the study. The coronary artery calcification score(CCS) was performed on the patients with128-slice spiral CT
and the scores were scored according to the results of the CCS score There are three groups
namely CCS≤100 group
CCS100-400 group
CCS≥400 group. We compared patients’ basic clinical data(gender
age
body mass index BMI
blood lipids and blood glucose levels
etc.)
and the brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) and C-reaction protein(CRP) levels in each group of the patients. We used the coronary angiography to detect the degree of coronary artery stenosis
perform GRACE score(CJobal Registry of Acute Coronary Events) according to the patient’s condition
and followed up the occurrence of adverse cardiovascular events in the patient after 1-year follow-up. Results There were no significant differences in age
gender
body mass index BMI
blood lipids and blood glucose levels among the three groups of patients(p>0.05). The number of the patients with arterial stenosis 50%-100% BNP
CRP
follow-up cardiovascular adverse events
and GRACE risk score in the CCS100-400 group and CCS ≥400 group were significantly higher than those in the CCS≤100 group(p<0.05). There was no significant difference between the CCS100-400 group and the CCS≥400 group(p>0.05). Spearman correlation analysis method was used to show that CCS score was positively correlated with BNP
CRP level
GRACE score
arterial lumen stenosis and the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events. Conclusions The coronary artery calcification score has predictive value for the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease. The higher the coronary artery calcification score was followed by the higher incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events.
