Study on the correlation between morning blood pressure surge and blood pressure variability and heart rate variability
Objective To study the relation morning blood pressure surge and blood pressure variability and heart rate variability in 123 patients with essential hypertension. Methods One hundred and three patients with hypertension had 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and 24 h ambulatory dynamic electrocardiogram.According to the results of morning blood pressure surge
80 patients are selected into the morning blood pressure surge group(MBPS group). Forty-three patients are selected into the morning blood pressure surge normal group(NMBPS group). Blood pressure variability and heart rate variability are compared between the two groups. The correlation between morning blood pressure surge and blood pressure variability and heart rate variability are analyzed. Results Pearson correlation analysis showed that indexes in blood pressure variability as 24 hSSD

HR in MBPS are higher than NMBPS have the statistical significance. Indexes in Heart rate variability as SDNN
SDANN
r MSSD
PNN50 in MBPS are higher than NMBPS have the statistical significance. MBPS have positive correlation with 24 hSSD
SSD
and HR. Conclusions Morning blood pressure surge is related with blood pressure variability and heart rate variability.
