Objective To study the different hemodynamic reaction patterns displasyed over the course of basic head-up tilt table tests in clinic patients. Methods Total 443 patients underwent basic head-up tilt table test
who were fasting more than 4 hours. The changes of blood pressure and heart rate were recorded. Results Among 443 patients who took the basic HUTT tests
312 patients(70%)had negative reactions
66 patients(15%) were orthostatic hypotension(OH)
14 patients(3%)had vasovagal responses
15 patients(4%) were orthostatic tachycardia syndrome
36 patients were orthostatic hypertension. Among OH patients
24 patients(36%) were classical type of OH
29 patients(44%)were delayed OH
8 patients(12%) were initial OH
and 5 patients(8%) were progressive type of OH.Conclusions There are different hemodynamic reaction patterns in basic head-up tilt table tests. With careful observation in the different hemodynamic reactions in orthostatic hypotension
we can estimate the autonomic function in cardiology.
