Objective To investigate the effectiveness of chest pain-oriented systematic electrocardiogram (ECG) teaching compared to traditional teaching methods in the education of resident physicians. Methods A total of 87 resident physicians from the Hospital were selected as the control group and taught using traditional methods. In contrast
91 resident physicians from the class of 2023 were selected as the experimental group and taught using the chest pain-oriented systematic ECG teaching method. Upon completing the teaching tasks
examinations and satisfaction evaluations were conducted
and the results were compared. Results The total score of the experimental group (87.4±4.7 points) was significantly higher than that of the control group (80.7±4.8 points) (
P
<
0.001). Additionally
the teaching satisfaction in the experimental group was higher compared to the control group (30.8%
vs.
23.0%) (
P
<
0.001). Conclusions The chest pain-oriented systematic ECG teaching method significantly improved the ECG analysis skills of the residents and demonstrated higher satisfaction among the trainees. This i
ndicates that this teaching approach has substantial application value in ECG education.
