Objective To investigate the value of fragmented QRS complex in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease. Methods Treadmill exercise test was performed in 30 cases of conventional body surface electrocardiography(ECG) with fragmented QRS complex and 40 subjects with normal ECG. We compared the results of coronary angiography. Results There were significant differences in the number of positive cases of treadmill exercise test and abnormal angiography between the two groups(p<0.05). The number of positive cases in patients had fragmented QRS complex significantly higher than that in the normal group. Conclusions Fragmented QRS complex can be used as a marker of myocardial ischemia in patients with coronary heart disease.
